The mission of The Linda Vistans is to enrich the lives of the women residing in the Linda Vista community of Pasadena, California, through cultural opportunities, social interactions, and contributions to local institutions and philanthropic organizations.
The Linda Vistans meet on the fourth Friday of the month, unless otherwise called.
Past meeting have included speakers from The Pasadena Playhouse, Pasadena Heritage, Heritage Square Museum, and by local historians, authors, business owners and more.
Two special events are held each year, one in the fall where significant others are invited and one during the holiday season.
During World War II, a group of neighborhood women gathered togther weekly to roll bandages for the Red Cross. When the war ended, the women continued to gather with the intent of meeting other neighbors. Gradually the group became more organized and continues to thrive today.
The Linda Vistans contributes annually to local causes such as the Linda Vista Library, Hillsides Family Resource Center, Friends In Deed and Union Station.
